817 DI tank for pure-water window and solar cleaning
This DI tank takes about 11 litres of mixed bed deionising resin and removes dissolved solids from the water passing through it, giving very low TDS water for spot-free window and solar panel rinsing. It is supplied empty, with the resin sold separately by the litre.
The shell is fibreglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) with a seamless polyethylene liner. Its 2.5″ NPSM top thread takes Gardiner DI fittings, and Gardiner-compatible male end connectors come with it. One fill of resin typically treats about 750 to 1,000 litres, depending on your source water.

How to use it
- Stand the tank where it will be used before you fill it. Once filled, it weighs ±27–30 kg.
- Pour in mixed bed DI resin until the tank is full, about 11 litres.
- Fit the Gardiner-compatible connectors and connect the tank into your hosepipe line.
- Keep the supply within 8.6 bar and 49°C.
- Replace the resin once it is exhausted.

Does it come with resin?
No. The tank is supplied empty. Resin is sold per litre, and about 11 litres fills it.
Will it work with my Gardiner fittings?
Yes. The 2.5″ NPSM (63.5 mm) top thread is compatible with Gardiner DI fittings, and the included male end connectors suit Gardiner-style hosepipe connections.
What else can I use it for?
Besides cleaning windows with a water-fed pole and rinsing solar panels, it suits spot-free rinsing of vehicles and glass, and preparing water for labs and aquariums.
